Morena and Castellano Que Bueno Baila Usted

Those who know me well know of my love for old Cuban (and Caribbean and African) music. "Morena" is another beautiful example of why I appreciate the old stuff. And listen to Bienvenido Granda's voice! La voz de un maestro! And apparently the song is based on "Ma Brune" by Guy Durosier, an example of Haitian-Cuban musical exchange. "Morena, que mas puedo pedir a la vida si tu tengo amor." Enjoy!

Also, don't forget to enjoy "Castellano que bueno baila usted," a lovely son montuno (or is it early mambo?) jam. Beautiful, just beautiful. This is why Cuban music reigns as the best of the Caribbean and Latin America in my book.
