We have been struck by this modern take on Wayne Shorter's "Juju." Shorter recorded it with Coltrane's sidemen, so it was inevitably marked by the unique styles of McCoy Tyner and Elvin Jones. The drummer did a great job here and we found Joshua Redman's very gentle solo to be a soothing disruption of the frenetic energy of this great Shorter composition.
