This 1965 recording of Silver's band playing "The Cape Verdean Blues" is great. Roger Humphries on drums is cookin' and laying down a groove catchier than the studio recording. Humphries was a master of the funky, Latin grooves to accompany the rich, soulful stylings of Horace Silver.
