This grainy image of the composer for the music of "Choucoune" was found in Constantin Dumervé's Histoire de la musique en Haiti, a wonderful source for all interested in the history of Haitian music. While mostly centered on composers and musicians in the European classical tradition, the work includes numerous photographs and commentary on Haitian meringues and art music.
