I Love Mary Jane Girls' All Night Long. The unforgettable bassline and jazzy sax has been sampled in many different R&B and hip-hop songs by other artists. A famous example would be Big Daddy Kane's Smooth Operator, which topped the charts in the late 1980s (88 or 89). Only Rick James could've composed such an amazing 1980s R&B tune (well, Prince, Michael Jackson, and a couple others did it as well).
